Research shows that new classroom construction in the United States costs approximately $17,000/child (National Clearinghouse for Educational Facilities 2006). The overall cost of the EduCrate is highly competitive and cost-effective at only $3,000/child. The Williamstown Public School in Williamstown, Massachusetts is an old school, so they are currently building a new one. It costs 14 million dollars and it will house 650 students maximum. This means that the new school will be built for 21,538 thousand dollars per child! Each EduCrate classroom is comprised of two or more shipping containers that are joined, side by side, to create one large space (8’h x 16’w x 20’l). The containers can be individually configured in many ways to increase customer satisfaction. Options for Box Configurations: 1. Custom offices 2. Custom logo on the outside 3. Custom painting 4. Custom science labs 5. Custom art rooms with sinks 6. Custom dormitories 7. Security lock boxes 8. Vents 9. Roll-up doors/swing doors 10. Personnel doors 11. Partition walls 12. Plumbing/restrooms Individual pricing is contingent upon each classroom's location and needs. |
